Lockdown at Spoke

What you need to know.........

  • NO MASK, NO ENTRY (buffs accepted; gloves, sleeves or collars not)

  • Pleases scan Track and Trace QR code

  • Maximum of  3 customers inside on the blue dots

  • Please observe social distancing of 2m at all times

  • Maximum of two people or family group on terrace

  • Takeaway only; in, out, back on the bike Milanese style

  • Above all keep safe, keep riding

So, here we go again: just as we'd welcomed you back inside the cafe we now have to ask you to leave! But don't despair, the cafe will be open for takeaway during lockdown and the workshop will continue to operate, albeit on an appointment basis.

Sadly we've had to furlough some of the gang here at Spoke but our hope is that we'll bounce back stronger than ever in the Spring. For now the cafe menu will be stripped down to offer coffee, our fabulous cakes, crisps and soft drinks but sadly it is farewell for now to weekend special cake creations, bang-on toasties and beer. But they will be back.

We want to keep everyone as safe as we can so a strict queuing system will be in operation with 2 metre spacing, masks will be compulsory and there will be NO indoor seating; customers will be encouraged to consume Milan style on our covered terrace, that is, on the move. Each customer will wait at the counter for their order to be completed and then exit on to the terrace where no more than one household or a two person group may briefly gather.

Bike fits and group rides will be suspended during lockdown but we hope that by staying open, even in this rather depleted manner, we can offer a wee ray of hope in troubled times. Keep riding, keep safe.
