Camp Spoke Mallorca 2023

While the UK will be suffering the start of another brutal winter there will still be balmy blue skies and sunshine in the cycling paradise of Mallorca.  Best known as a road cycling destination, Mallorca is also a Mecca for gravel with hundreds of kilometres of perfect trails, and unlike the crowded roads, these gravel trails are empty.

Our 2023 Cycle Camp offers a truly unique experience: six days of the best riding Mallorca has to offer, blue skies, perfect gravel and road routes researched over many years led by a local guide.

This will be the second SpokeCyclesCC Cycle Camp and this year we’ve partnered with Rapha to add entry to their Mallorca prestige gravel event. Taking place on the last day of our camp it features 150 kilometres of stunning trails visiting all corners of the island.

Our accommodation is in former pro rider and German national track champion Jan Schwatzer’s team house - MA-13 - in the beautiful town of Sineu.  Slap bang in the middle of the island and away from the noisy tourist towns of the coast, Sineu is the perfect base to set out from each morning. Host Jan understands what is required to create the perfect environment for a training camp, from great coffee, a hearty breakfast, gym, workshop, lounge, sun terraces and a range of accommodation from en suite rooms to ski-style studio flats.  The garage door to the subterranean bike workshop is signed by many former guests including grand tour stage winners and world champions who have used MA-13 as a training base.

To complement the accommodation, Jan runs a busy cycling cafe in the town - Sa Mola 13 - which shares a similar history to SpokeCyclesCC.  Just as we started selling coffee out of our 1964 Citroen H Van at races like the Smithfield Nocturne, Redhook Grit and Ride London events before finding a more permanent base in our Codicote cycling workshop and cafe, Jan began attending races with a Renault 4 equipped with a Rocket espresso machine. It is this iconic vehicle which will meet our riders for a delicious picnic lunch on one of the island’s hilltop monasteries with panoramic views which is popular with riders as part of the weeks activities.

When we’ve finished all the riding, we’ve added in a paella and wine tasting evening to embrace the local culture and finish off the week in style.

Better with sound!

Here's what one of last year's guests had to say:
